Terms of Service

By using alinenasseh.com or purchasing from Aline Nasseh Artisan Chocolates, you agree to these terms. We've written them in plain English. If anything is unclear, email contact@alinenasseh.com before you order.

1. About us

Aline Nasseh Artisan Chocolates is a small artisan chocolate business operating from 877 Alness St, Unit 22, North York, ON M3J 2X4, Canada. We're a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario.

2. Orders & payment

  • All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes (HST/GST/PST based on your province). Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your address.
  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Interac e-Transfer for Canadian orders.
  • Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • For corporate and wedding orders over $500, we offer Net 15 invoicing for verified Canadian businesses. Contact us to set up a credit check.

3. Shipping & delivery

  • Within the GTA: Flat-rate $15 local delivery via Trexity, 1-3 business days. Free on orders over $150.
  • Across Ontario & Québec: $20 flat via Canada Post Expedited, 2-5 business days. Free on orders over $200.
  • Rest of Canada: Calculated at checkout via ShipStation. Typically $25-45, 3-7 business days.
  • Local pickup: Free at our North York studio, Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 11am-4pm. Order ready within 2 hours during business hours.
  • Heat warning: Chocolate melts. We don't ship when forecast temperatures exceed 26°C at the destination. If you place an order and we can't ship safely, we'll contact you to hold or refund.
  • Risk of loss: passes to you when the carrier delivers. We provide tracking for all orders.

4. Allergens & dietary

All our chocolate is made in a facility that also handles tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and dairy. We cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering.

Vegan, nut-free, and gluten-free SKUs are produced on shared equipment.

5. Cancellations & refunds

  • Standard orders: Full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of placing the order, or before we've started production (whichever is later). Once your order is in production, it's non-refundable (the chocolate is hand-painted to your spec).
  • Corporate & wedding orders: 50% deposit is non-refundable. Balance refundable if you cancel more than 14 days before your ship date.
  • Damaged or incorrect orders: We replace or refund any order that arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered. Photo required within 48 hours of delivery. Email contact@alinenasseh.com.

6. Subscriptions & recurring orders

When subscriptions launch (Q3 2026), you can pause or cancel any time before the next billing date. No fees, no questions.

7. Account termination

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. If you have an account with us, we may terminate it for abuse, fraud, or violations of these terms. We'll always tell you first and refund any unused balance.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site — recipes, photographs, the hand-painted designs on our bonbons, the Aline Nasseh wordmark and logo — is © Aline Nasseh Artisan Chocolates, all rights reserved. Don't reproduce without permission.

You're welcome to share our photos and links on social media with attribution.

9. Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided "as is." We do our best to keep everything accurate and working, but we can't guarantee the site will always be available or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

11. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers.
