The most common things people ask us. Can't find what you need? Email hello@alinenasseh.com.
Ordering
How do I place an order?
Browse the shop, add items to your cart, and check out. Or build your own box from any 4-25 of our 32 flavours. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Interac e-Transfer for Canadian orders.
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
Cancel within 24 hours for a full refund. After that, if we haven't started production yet, we can usually accommodate changes. Once your bonbons are hand-painted to your spec, the order is non-refundable.
Do you offer subscriptions?
Coming Q3 2026. Monthly "Aline's picks" box (9 hand-painted bonbons, $54/mo) with free shipping and pause-anytime. Email hello@alinenasseh.com to get on the early list.
Can I send a gift without a receipt in the box?
Yes — we don't include any pricing or receipt in the box by default. If you want a gift message, add it free at checkout. If you want a hand-written card instead of a printed one, select that option for free.
Shipping
How long does shipping take?
GTA: 1-3 business days via Trexity. Ontario & Québec: 2-5 business days via Canada Post. Rest of Canada: 3-7 business days. See our full shipping policy.
Do you ship in summer?
Carefully. We don't ship when forecast exceeds 26°C at your destination. If you order and we can't ship safely, we'll contact you to hold or refund.
Do you ship to the US or internationally?
Not yet. We're Canada-only for now — US shipping requires FDA registration and we'd rather spend that energy on better chocolate. Email us if you're a US customer desperate for a taste, we might be able to help.
Can I pick up my order locally?
Yes — free at our North York studio, 877 Alness St Unit 22. Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 11am-4pm. Order ready in 2 hours during business hours.
The chocolate
How long do the bonbons keep?
Best within 3 weeks. Sealed in original packaging, they keep up to 6 weeks, but the caramel may crystallise and the shells lose their snap after that. Store at 16-18°C, away from sunlight and strong odours. Don't refrigerate — chocolate blooms (white film).
Are they vegan? Nut-free? Gluten-free?
Look for the badges on each product page. About 12% of our range is vegan (Raspberry Rose, Matcha White Chocolate, etc.), 28% is nut-free. Note: all our chocolate is made on shared equipment with tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and dairy. We can't guarantee zero cross-contamination — if you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering.
Are the bonbons organic? Fair trade?
We source single-origin cacao from direct trade partners (Hawaii, Ecuador, Madagascar). It's not certified organic (the certification is expensive and our farmers don't need it — they're paid well above fair-trade rates). Cane sugar is organic when we can get it.
Do you make sugar-free or low-sugar options?
Not yet. We're trialling a sugar-free dark chocolate shell made with allulose. If you'd like to be on the test list, email hello@alinenasseh.com.

Other
Do you ship across Canada?
Yes — to every province and territory. GTA orders ship via Trexity (1-3 days). Ontario and Quebec via Canada Post (2-5 days). Rest of Canada via Canada Post (3-7 days). Free shipping on GTA orders $150+, and on Ontario/Quebec orders $200+.
What allergens are in your chocolate?
All bonbons contain dairy and tree nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios). All products are made in a kitchen that also handles wheat, peanuts, and soy. We can't guarantee zero cross-contamination. If you have a severe allergy, please email us before ordering — we can discuss your specific needs.
What if my box arrives damaged?
Email us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage. We'll replace the box at no charge or issue a full refund — your choice. We pack each box carefully with insulated liners and cold packs year-round, but we know Canada Post can be rough. We'll make it right.
Do you have a retail shop I can visit?
Not a traditional storefront, but our North York studio is open for drop-ins Mon-Fri 10am-6pm and Sat 11am-4pm. You can taste any flavours, pick up an order, or just see the kitchen. No appointment needed. For large groups (6+), email ahead so we can make sure someone is available to show you around.
Where can I taste before ordering?
Our North York studio is open Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 11am-4pm. Stop by for a free 3-piece tasting — no appointment needed. We also stock at 12+ retailers across Ontario (see the flavours guide for locations).
Do you offer chocolate-making classes?
Quarterly! Small group (max 6) 3-hour workshops in our studio. Next session: March 2026. $185/person includes the chocolate you make. Email classes@alinenasseh.com for the wait list.
Can I visit the kitchen for a tour?
By appointment, for orders of 25+ boxes or as part of a corporate or wedding package. We can't accommodate drop-in visits for food safety reasons (chocolate kitchens are surprisingly strict).
